Nail Artist

The Nail Artist program offered by EM Beautician School of Canada is approximately 12 weeks in length. It is a full-time, day program.

Students will be trained on the various techniques and will be shown methods in the application of the various types of artificial nails and their application as well as the following :

  • Introduction to silk, gel, acrylic, nail tips and overlays
  • Manicures including french and hot oil
  • Introduction to and understanding of various skin and nail disorders
  • Physiology of the hand and the feet
  • Introduction to the basic bacteriology
  • Paraffin treatments for the hand and feet
  • Introduction to nail art and airbrushing techniques
  • Hand and feet treatments
  • Nail repair
  • Client safety and chemicals in the salon
  • Introduction to proper etiquette, customer service and professional ethics
  • Proper sterilization and sanitation techniques
  • Understanding personal and public hygiene
  • Business planning involved with opening a salon
  • Sales generation and keeping clients coming back

There is also a package of kits for the nail artist program.
